As some of you may or may not know I'm like...a big Coldplay fan.
I liked them okay for a few years, owned their cds but didn't listen too much.
Then...something happened.
Maybe I ate too many cookies.
Anyways, they are coming out with a new CD called 'Viva la Vida' and they've already released their new single.
DANG.
Just when you think they can't get any better, they DO.
I had heard somebody say it was Spanish inspired and that it was like 'Ricky Martin meets Coldplay' which, doubtless, confused me in a non positive way.
So to actually hear the new single....is amazing on a number of levels.
It doesn't sound like Ricky Martin (not that I noticed anyway) and it sounds so good on a ground-breakingly Coldplay level.
I love that the lyrics and context of the song is historical.
I mean, I thought Coldplay wrote awesome songs just about a color but...this is even better.
It's like a slice of something full of dark chocolate and espresso.
And....Coldplay.
And....history.
Hah.
Anyway, I'm psyched.
And I have the song here on my June Playlist so you can listen to it and get full of Coldplay Happiness.
Oh and I'm officially no longer in high school.
How weird is that?

at first when i heard the song
i was like "eh"
but i think its because
lately i've been into extremely wierd
but funky fresh dance music,
mainly because thats what the clothing warehouse plays.
but last night i needed some music that could make me "dance"
but still make me feel chill. thats when the song blew me away.
also, does it feel crazy cool to be done with highschool?
i've got one more year.
and no matter how much i tend to dislike my school...
i am going to make it a very memorable year.
