John Lennon once said that he wrote this song after hearing someone play 'Moonlight Sonata'.
He asked them to play the chords backwards and it became this.
Amazing.
They recorded John, George, and Paul singing harmonies and then repeated it three times.
This is the version released on the anthology with the most amazing use of silence in the whole galaxy.
Seriously.
How can something be so short and succinct and be so amazing?
Say so little and yet sound so mournful.
The man had some serious talent.
